Why are people still so ignorant on the truth's about Marijuana? Topic: Legal case study reports

Question: Marijuana has been proven to help so many systems of the body. It's almost as if we were created/evolved, whatever you believe, to have cannabinoid molecules fit into our cannabinoid receptors. Weed isn't addictive. Of course if you become use to something and then suddenly stop, of course your going to have effects. Think about someone drinking coffee everyday for a year and then suddenly stopping, no doubt they're going to have some effect for a little bit. And yet countless studies have proven that other drugs and even caffeine is more addictive than cannabis. In regards to it causing lung cancer, never has there once been a case of lung cancer reported in someone who smoked cannabis only. It's a natural plant that gives its affects just when left alone. Cocaine, meth, heroin, etc. are mixed with other chemicals so of course those aren't safe. The only reason it has remained such an immoral thing is because it has been illegal for so long, and the myths about it are still believed because of Reefer Madness at the end of the 1930's. If it were legalized the cartel's would be stopped immediately, almost overnight so to speak, 60% of their profits come from illegally exporting marijuana to the United States. What's your stance, do you know the truth's about it? P.S. I have been smoking cannabis for years, do I appear to have any brain deficiency? Did you not read that those other substances are mixed with other chemicals. Marijuana in its cure and dried form is what gets you the high. Actually, marijuana is one of the biggest issues in our society today. How many of you have actually tried it? How many of you have researched it, and not gone with what you've heard. If it was such a great thing 4000 years ago why is it bad now, regardless of it getting stronger or not? Hmm..? @Obama Man and you have proof of this? Because unlike other dangerous drugs, and this is a long stretch here, but you develop an unexplainable love for marijuana, not an addiction.

I think it should be available by prescription for people with medical conditions that can't be treated sufficiently any other way. I'm not sure if it should be legal to everyone. It should probably be left up to the states though, not the federal government.

Unfortunately for people like you and I, the world that we live in is largely populated by sheep. Sheep that loyally follow their shepherd, our government, as they lead them down the path of propaganda. Compare these people to three year old children whom believe in Santa...The child believes that Santa comes down the chimney at Christmas time to leave presents under the tree. They believe this because it's been hammered into them since birth. It is explained this way to them from the get-go. When Christmas rolls around, they tie it all together and it seems feasible, so they don't question it. They don't even think to question it. As years pass they slowly learn the truth, usually on their own. They realise that it's feasible that Mummy and Daddy might lie about something like that, and they see the bigger picture. Now as for pot haters...they're adults who have had anti-pot propaganda smashed into them since childhood. They've seen the 'facts', they've seen what a pot-smoker 'looks like' (ie. Tommy Chong's impression in Cheech and Chong) and they can't fathom that their Government might lie about anything. Especially about something like that. They don't see the bigger picture, they skip that part and jump straight into the front line of the anti-pot regime.

"Weed isn't addictive." -- anything can be addictive. There are groups out there for people who smoke marijuana. Obviously it's not as addictive as alcohol or cocaine, but if marijuana had no addictive properties, than why are there so many people who flat out refuse to stop smoking? Why are there so many people out there who fear that they will just be depressed if they stop (a common complaint)? Because they are addicted to it. Maybe not to the point of pointing a gun to someone's head, but still an addiction nonetheless. "In regards to it causing lung cancer, never has there once been a case of lung cancer reported in someone who smoked cannabis only." Well first of all, source? Second of all, of course because with cigarettes, you smoke lighter hits, more often. With marijuana, you tend to take bigger hits, less often. But I wouldn't go as far as saying that there hasn't been ANY cases of lung cancer where the person only smoked marijuana. That's a bit of a stretch when you provide no source. "It's a natural plant." This argument is really just crap, because natural =/= good. I also smoked for years, but I'm not ignorant to the truths. I know what happens when a person smokes, I know that it won't make someone a failure in life if they smoke every so often, but I also know what happens when someone smokes all the time and ignores other people's responsibilities, or when they don't care if they get their innocent family members, roommates, etc arrested for it. Yes, it relaxes you. It can also cause paranoia and anxiety for a lot of people. Not everyone has the same brain chemistry that you do. If you knew the truths about marijuana you would also know that it affects you differently based on your age. So in your teens and 20's, it will affect you differently than if you are smoking at 45. What's funny, to me, is that people love to go on about how marijuana is no big deal, it's not addictive, it's not for everyone.... but then when *anyone* says something negative about it, stoners become really, really defensive. Why is that? If it's not a big deal, then why get defensive? EDIT: "Because unlike other dangerous drugs, and this is a long stretch here, but you develop an unexplainable love for marijuana, not an addiction." ... I already said, I smoked for years. I know what that "unexplainable love to marijuana" is. It's an "addiction."

There are some studies out there that suggest that the weed out there now with higher THC levels may be addictive. Weed releases dopamine, so it has the potential to become addictive but then again alcohol and nicotine clearly are addictive. Also pretty much every drug has long term health repercussions from abuse but most drugs will not give you permanent health issues from just occasional use. The exceptions that I know of are extacy and pcp. Those can leave permanent damage from just one time use. Weed is a drug, if you abuse it enough it will have negative effects. This is clearly shown through legal drugs like alcohol and tobacco. But people have responsibly enjoyed these 2 legal drugs as well. Why weed is illegal while alcohol is legal does not make any sense. Both of these drugs can be abused and both can be enjoyed responsibly. Alcohol can be even seen as more dangerous because you can OD on it, while you cannot on weed. These is no legal reason for weed to be illegal and to make weed illegal based on someone's morality is a loss or freedom and a form of tyranny. HITLER USED OXYGEN. FACT!!!

For the identical purpose humans are ignorant to the reality in the back of alcohol, that is a ways worse than marijuana well being clever and but nonetheless authorized. Marijuana is handy to develop, yields well earnings and anybody can do it.. if it used to be authorized then plenty of gigantic businesses could be howling in rage at the amount of cash funnelling into the fingers of the normal Joe. Better to run a propaganda scheme to make sure marijuana is demonized within the eyes of the regular public, and on no account will get legalized. Alcohol is less complicated to manipulate.. you want plenty of presents and apparatus and to be any chance to the marketplace you want a huge facility that may meet the deliver and insist. So despite the fact that it's worse than marijuana so far as intellectual, bodily and emotional well being are involved, alcohol stays authorized on account that it strains targeted wallet probably the most, instead than spreading the wealth round. So humans are prompted in the direction of lack of understanding by means of the mainstream media and the powers that be into believing marijuana will kill you or reduce to rubble your existence. Most humans have most likely no thought, they have got on no account attempted marijuana, they do not know what it does, or the way it makes you think. They simply parrot the propaganda they have got been spoon fed and regurgitate nonsense. One of the quality and so much funny examples I have ever obvious of that is on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.. When they're on the police conference.. it is hilarious! Anyway as a pothead myself for the beyond 12 years, I can actually say that the one truly bad final result pot has is brief time period reminiscence lapses, and laziness. A small fee to pay for remedy of nausea(quality hangover healing ever!) urge for food stimulation, anti-depressant, relaxant and simply throughout mellow yellow happiness. It's not anything like alcohol which entirely impairs you, transforms you into an extra individual and will kill you in nearly no time in any respect if you happen to drink it day-to-day. My Father used to be an alcoholic and I can actually say I'd instead he have been hooked on pot, on account that alcohol killed him at fifty three. Not to say made him violent, depressing, abusive and took away his sanity.. When he smoked pot I adored him, whilst he drank I needed him useless and hated the monster it made him. I'd instead have each individual in Canada hooked on pot than grow to be an alcoholic.. I've obvious what they each do and I'd instead have a number of lazy forgetful humans than drunken, violent and belligerent, vomiting automobile injuries ready to occur. Also marijuana is NOT a gateway drug, there is not any such factor as a "gateway drug" and if there may be it is alcohol.. But I real think that the gateway to dependancy lies inside a individual and now not a drug. Some humans without problems can not exert even minimum self-manipulate, others can not admit they have got issues they're wrongly looking to medicate or numb by means of drug use.. Those humans could be hooked on whatever, something it doesn't matter what they attempted first. Personally I've on no account grow to be hooked on something however cigarettes.. I can pass with out pot for months and on no account consider of it however cigarettes are a thousand million instances extra addictive and damaging.

If people can drive safely while high or a means can be found similar to a breathalyzer to ensure against impaired driving, i am all for the legalization of pot. If not then the increase in auto fatalities would rise.

I agree. Did you know that new research shows that marijuana actually kills cancer cells... rather than creating them? It actually causes them to eat themselves in a process called "autophage". Also, instead of killing brain cells, studies show it actually promotes the growth of new brain cells? http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn81... Example Cancer Studies: THC (marijuana) helps cure cancer says Harvard study http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/200... Marijuana Chemical May Fight Brain Cancer Active Component In Marijuana Targets Aggressive Brain Cancer Cells, Study Says http://www.webmd.com/cancer/brain-cancer... Did you know the government knew about it in 1974? http://www.alternet.org/story/9257/ Did you know that the cannabinoid receptor is the most prevalent cellular receptor in our brains? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoid_receptor This mystery began to unravel in 1964, when tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the main psychoactive chemical in cannabis was isolated and synthesized by Raphael Mechoulam and colleagues in Israel. Subsequently, in 1988, Allyn Howlett and colleagues discovered the cannabinoid receptor in the brain. This receptor called CB1was a precise match for the unique chemicals called cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant (phytocannabinoids). This initial discovery led to scientists hypothesizing that humans are "wired" for cannabis. The CB1receptors have been found in the brain in areas that control the coordination of movement, emotions, memory, reduction of pain, reward systems, and reproduction, yet are almost absent in the brain stem (which affects our vital functions such as breathing). It appears that cannabinoid receptors, which modulate other neurotransmitter function in a retrograde “on demand” fashion are present in far higher concentrations in the brain than any other receptor. While the CB1 receptors are primarily found in the central nervous system, a second type, CB2, discovered in 1993, are found primarily in the immune system, GI tract, liver, spleen, kidney, bones, heart, and peripheral nervous system. In fact, the CB2 receptor appears to be up-regulated whenever there is tissue pathology. What do you think about this? Did the government know? What do you think about that? Did you know that the government actually has the patent on medical marijuana... for use in fighting diseases such as cancer, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and more? And yet they repeatedly say that there is "no medical use" for marijuana. Look it up. U.S. Patent #6630507 It's like a MIRACLE DRUG because the endocannabinoid system in your body controls so much chemically... by stimulating this system, many positive effects can occur in many different organs of the body. If you don’t believe me, check out the studies at www.pubmed.gov … just type “cannabinoids” and “cancer” in the search bar and you’ll see the results of the HUNDREDS of studies that show that the THC in marijuana actually kills cancer cells, both in human tissue cultures and in animals. But… they won’t let us do studies on humans because mj has been labeled the “devil’s weed”. HA! But there is plenty of anecdotal evidence. (People who didn't want to wait on the government to legalize medical marijuana to help with their illness. We've been waiting over 40 years, after all.) I have been in correspondence with the head of the biology dept at a major university in Colorado, and he's knows people personally who have used super-concentrated cannabis oil to CURE their cancer. His own girlfriend got rid of her skin cancer completely applying cannabis oil topically. You can also find video diaries on the internet of people who have gotten rid of skin cancer using cannabis oil. Also video diaries of people who have had miraculous healing of 3rd degree burns. One video diary I found had an AIDS patient who was ingesting the oil and cut his T-cell count from over 800 to around 400 in just a few weeks. Rick Simpson has cured hundreds of people over the last few years and has plenty of written and videoed testimony. Google "Run from the Cure".
