I need help with my story? Topic: How to write a mythical story
July 23, 2019 / By Emelia
Question: What is a good name for a made-up country? If you can make cities and towns that relate with the country, that would be great. The country is for mythical creatures, and it has to include a main kindgom for the royal family. Thank you!

I think you should do what Tolkien did with the Lord of the Rings- use real ancient names of cities and states. How about Lydia? This little kingdom was in the middle of what is now Turkey and was run over by so many empires that little exists to show they were there. But the historian Herodotus wrote about this Kingdom, especially how their King Gyges came to power. He starts his book "The History" with the tale of Gyges. It is also retold in the movie The English Patient :o)

I think you should A: Do an anagram of different countries: If you don't know what an anagram is, its the rearrangement of the letters in a word. B. Make it in a real place on earth, hidden away. It's usually more interesting when readers think there could be mythical creatures next-door to them. C. Creatures name's from Greek/Roman/Northern European mythology. Hope I helped. Please answer mine, even if you haven't read the series, I'd like your opinion :) http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ak0y3yYEIBrcgx5Y8dp5kzTsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100706191059AAwW6rh

Actually, it sounds very much like a Bollywood movie...you know, the ones made in India. I've seen MANY with this same story plot...well, except for the "winning the lottery" part.
