Topic: Review writing
May 25, 2019 / By Guy Question:
I went to a dentist who sent me a letter and email asking me to review him or yelp, droogle..The guy lied to me about having cavities, and told me to pull my wisdom teeth when another dentist told me its fine. He also wanted to put a bad crown on my tooth that hurt, when i told him it hurt, he got loud with me.. he then told me to go to another dentist,, was nice and told me if i have any questions to ask him, i even apologized,, i went to another dentist who confirmed everything he told me was a lie,, he also hurt me and when i called to say i was in discomfort, i was told he can only see me the next day..
I want to write a bad review without getting into details, just say hes not professional, bad experience here.. can he sue me for this?
The dentist so obviously writes his own reviews,, he has 20 reviews on yelp all filtered that are 5 star

You are entitled to your opinion and free to express it as long as you don't slander him. That said, your review could say something like "I would not recommend this dentist as my own experience was painful, unprofessional, and untruthful with regards to the diagnosis and condition of my teeth. It is my opinion that based on my experience no one would ever rate this dentist with a five star rating which makes me wonder who wrote the reviews."
I'm not a legal expert, nor am I the right person for advice. But isn't it your 1st amendment rights that allow freedom of speech? It was a review... I looked it up, and it seems like most cases of these that somehow make it to court are never won by the business side... I'd apologize maybe? Take it down? But like you said, it was an honest review, I'm not sure about law, but morally, you're fine. Also, inquire with Yelp maybe, because apparently they have interests in protecting reviewers Good luck
You don't necessary have to write a bad review. I would be writing something asking why he needs to harass people into writing a review about him. Try and make it funny without getting abusive.
