If a university asks for you to meet ONE of the requirements, does that guarantee you admission? Topic: What is open admission university

Question: I've been seeing this trend happening with many of the colleges that I applied to. Some people call it the "or factor" or the "any one factor", meaning you have to fulfill requirements for either your ACT score, or SAT score, or GPA, or class rank. Usually, if you were deficient in one requirement, you have 3 more to fall back on. What i'm confused about is if you super exceed one of the requirements (ACT for example), but seriously deficient in your GPA, will that be penalized against you when trying to gain admission or does it not matter because you met ONE of the requirements? Here's some examples of what I'm talking about: http://wku.edu/admissions/freshmen.php http://www.k-state.edu/admissions/apply/#open=newFreshmen http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=ugrad&p=/qa http://admissions.usd.edu/freshman/applying-for-freshman-admission.cfm

I looked at each of the sites and yes, you must achieve just ONE of the requirements. This is crazy to me since when I went, it was usually all of the above but college is more competitive now in trying to get students. Keep in mind though that each site said that individual programs may have additional requirements so be sure to check with the admissions office.

let a = the number of ounces of food A. then the number of units of calcium will be 30a similarly the calcium from B and C will be 10b, and 20c So we have an equation for calcium: 30a + 10b + 20c = 349 By the same reasoning we can generate equations for Iron and Vitamin A Iron: 10a + 10b + 20c = 180 Vitamin A 10a + 30b + 20c = 220 So you now have three linear equations in 3 unknowns to solve for a,b and c. Once you have solved the equations you need to check an make sure your answers make sense. The equations could lead you to negative values of one or more of the variables, but that wouldn't make sense since you can't eat -2 oz of food A (for example). In this case the values are all positive so you have a reasonable solution.

30a+10b+20c=349 10a+10b+20c=180 10a+30b+20c=220 Subtract the second equation from the first one and you get 20a=169 a=8.45 Substitute that into the second and third equations 84.5+10b+20c=180 84.5+30b+20c=220 Subtract the second equation from the third equation 20b=40 b=2 Substitute that value of b into the third equation 84.5+60+20c=220 20c=75.5 c=3.775

NOTHING guarantees admission. a high ACT and low GPA tells the college you are smart, but you do not do the work in school to get the grades. So why would do the school work in college? Colleges look at the whole picture. WHat your ACT/SAT score is what you unweighted GPA is what classes you took, at what level and your grade in each what else did you do-extra activities your college essay-how well you write your LOR-what teachers think of you

I recommend buying an asus laptop as they're some of the best laptops to have and they do really well. Buying one of the K type models (usually as a work laptop) usually works good. I'm using that type. They also have their newer laptops which you should be able to find for around $500-$700. You could get a good asus laptop that'll perform better than the laptop your getting for around the same price as what your going for. Looking at the specifications you have up I can tell you that asus should perform much better and have updates you can download for free from them which are a really big help. I don't remember how to get the updates on the computer but asus does have an already installed security program which should work pretty well and a lot of good features you might enjoy. The site source I've provided below is just one asus laptop you might look at. It's got some good specs and looks pretty similar to the one I got. I'll be honest, I've read the best review with the lowest stars on the first site source I provided and I know the laptop can have problems. I've had problems before, but that was probably due to doing something on the internet or something. I've had my laptop for less than a year now and it has done pretty well. So, I know that the asus series, when your not paying for the top of the line laptops with good reviews, can have some set-backs, however, I also know that this series is one of the high ranked series and can do a lot. I know the game your trying to play should work on the asus laptops I've recommended. One last thing, the last two site sources I've provided have two other asus laptops on them that should also work well. However, the one with the red asus laptop has something about a lithium battery in it and I don't know what that would mean. I advise sticking with the first two site sources I've provided as they have laptops that should do well for you. I think it would be wise also for you to do your own research on these laptops. Amazon.com, the source for the laptops I found in the site sources below, should have good reviews and laptops to choose from. The game should play well on these laptops. I've played through all four assassin's creed games on my asus laptop so I know it works well. I think an asus laptop would be a good choice for you to. Anyway, I think I've said enough. I hope you can get a good laptop for yourself that'll do well for you without any problems. Hope this helps and good luck.

My advice would be to try and find a laptop with a better video card.. Its Intel HD graphics chip which is pretty crap. Do you know the dedicated video memory it has? and what series?
