I'm about to take the SAT test and it seems a bit hard.? Topic: Problem solving test and answers
May 25, 2019 / By Reid
Question: I've tried constantly to practice for this test and it seems as though they set the test up for only the smartest high school kids. Honestly, I thought I was good in writing and reading but whenever I try and study for the test on the SAT website I get all the answers wrong. I try to make educated guesses but I end up guessing three out of five wrong until I get the right one. That's so weird. If I don't get a high grade on this test I'm going to be so depressed. It's in two more months for me and I just started studying right now. I'm so stressed too.... So.... So.... Stressed. Anyone have any ideas on how I can improve? Studying and practicing seems to be doing nothing for me >:( (started studying two days ago).

well. if youre a senior you should have started studying long ago...not two days ago. i took my first sat in 9th or 10th grade. anyway to late to solve that problem... just keep studying. go talk to english teachers to answer questions. try the act. some people dont do well on one and do great on the other. most colleges will accept either. the sat is SUPPOSED to be hard. if it were easy everyone would get a 2400. they set up the test to see how ready you are for college. any test ever is easier for smart people. stop being whiney. its no different for anyone else.

Girl... I will try but i have not take biology in forever.... 1.) C- cell division, they completely replicate after 24 hrs! 2.) i cant see the diagram but gametes look like little sperm kind of 3.) i think Cytokinesis... cause it comes after the 4 parts of metosis which is the cell division 4)MEIOSIS 5.) Gametes 6.)If the reduction division process in meiosis did not occur, fusion of male and female gametes by sexual reproduction will result in the doubling of the number of chromosomes with each successive generation. An incorrect number of chromosomes, caused by an incomplete set (n) or extra chromosomes, is called an aneuploidy. Some diseases are caused by having an incorrect number of chromosomes. Down syndrome is caused by having one extra chromosome (chromosome #21) so people with Down syndrome have 47 chromosomes. Most cancerous cells carry many extra chromosomes and some are even polyploid. Polyploidy ("poly" is Greek for "many") is a special kind of ploidy. It means there are extra SETS of chromosomes not just some extra chromosomes. A cell with 3n, 4n, 5n, or any integer of n (indicating a complete set of chromosomes) is a polyploid cell.

Yes it is very possible that you are pregnant. For my first pregnancy I took 2 home tests one was negative and one was positive. So I went to the hospital and had a blood test done. Sure enough I was pregnant. My docotor told me that because I was only 4 weeks along there might not have been enough of the hcg hormone for the urine test. Congratulations!!!!

Meiosis and mitosis are the two things I never bothered my @ss to learn about in biology. Why do they have to sound so similar? lol. Sorry I can't help but just wikipedia both "mitosis" and "meosis" and that should help.

The book is way better than the website. First I got the official College board SAT study guide. It is easily the best book. It has 10 real previous exams to practice with. You cannot do better than having former exams to study. Then I got Answers and Explanations by Peter Tanguay. It has the complete explanations for all questions in all 10 tests. You get answers but no explanations from the college board. I got a 2200. Good Luck :)

Johnie Originally Answered: What did you think of AP Biology? Was the AP test hard for you?
My AP Biology teacher had a prerequisite of Chemistry. That was probably a good call. Your sister should take chemistry first. I took AP Biology years ago when it was half as hard as it is now. I got a 5 on the test. I recommend your sister get some of those AP Biology test prep/review books, read the review chapters, and do the practice tests. Your local public library probably has these books, but note that you shouldn't write in library books (it's a misdemeanor where I live). I also enjoyed Cliff's Quickreview Biology Campbell & Reece Biology 7th edition

She should take it. It isn't that hard of a class. It's not easy, but it's not awful, either. To be honest, I think the AP Bio test was the hardest AP test I took, but I still did fine and didn't study for it at all. It was also boring as hell to take. Besides, AP classes are good to take even without the possible credits from the AP test. Your sister's life will not be ruined if she doesn't do so well in a high school AP class. I promise. Your sister should probably take a regular Biology class before taking AP Bio, but that's probably a prerequisite anyway.
