Yes most defiantly. I feel that homework is such a waste, by the time my child gets home he is tired as we all are from working. I am not sure why teachers do this. It outrages me sometimes as I feel that they are the teachers they signed up for the job and then expect the parents to take over at home. some of us are working parents who cannot even function after a long day. I did not go to college to be a school teacher and that is what they are asking of me on top of all my other positions that I have at home and on top of my 9-5 job Homework is a joke its just homework for the parents and added stress. However i realize there are some that stay at home and have no problem with this. But I work full time so I can provide for my child. Which to me teaches them alot about life which I have no problem doing. School work belongs in the school.

How about you pay attention in class and do your own homework. Here is a hint though, use a punnett square. 1) use a p.s 2) use a p.s 3) actually that one is confusing and I would talk to your teacher about the wording of that one. It is impossible to tell if you don't know the genotype but it can happen under certain circumstances (like the child can receive two recessive alleles from two heterozygous parents). Techinally both answers are correct according to how the question was worded. 4)honestly to me this one is simple. look it up in your book 5)again book 6)book 7)book 8)book 9)book 10) they are joking right?

make your little chart: H h ----------------- h| Hh hh h| Hh hh so 1 is : 50% now use this as an ex. for the rest and your txt book cause this is all i can remember.... dominant genes are always capitalized and are the ones you can see (Hh or HH), a recessive is lower cased and will only be seen if there are two (ex: hh) , a recessive gene can still be passed on.

I thought HH was the Heinrich Himmler gene? I think if you have HH and hh there is a 50% chance your child will look like Heinrich Himmler.

Don't know if my answer is relevant to your question since it isn't public school homework. Homework doesn't affect our relationship in any other than a positive way - we homeschool. They don't have excessive homework. I assigned it, so I can easily help with it, not to mention I have all the teachers supplies I need to know what is going on. And, at 5:00 at the latest, school is put away and we can live life without deadlines hanging over our heads. All our work is homework, but it all brings us closer together. I've graduated 3 of 4 and we are as close as a family can healthfully be.

This may be an interesting read for you. Good luck! :) For those who have indicated that because there are some autistic Amish individuals that the vaccine link is automatically invalid, I urge you to consider autism as a group of behaviors that can be "caused" by different things. The "genetic" link to autism can be a susceptibility to mercury, a sensitivity to food additives (see www.feingold.org), or a genetic predisposition to a certain personality type that includes symptoms that are on the autistic spectrum. It can be one of these, all three, or something else not yet discovered. For the Amish, an individual may be autistic because of a certain behavior trait that is independent of something like mercury. Or, it may be because they eat tomatoes (tomatoes are a salicylate, which can be problematic for susceptible individuals.) Vaccines to the child are not the only source of mercury. I am Rh-negative, so was given a RhoGAM shot during pregnancy. I was shocked to learn that "RhoGAM Moms" are approximately 15% of the general population but 49% of the population of mothers of autistic children. (statistic from www.generationrescue.org) I am uncertain as to the validity of certain claims, but I keep an open mind because I have seen the difference in my son before and after eliminating food additives and salicylates. If I am willing to make this connection, why not mercury poisoning as well? After all, "mainstream medicine" uses drugs to "treat" autism, ADD, and so forth, why not acknowledge that other chemicals can also be considered "drugs" in their own right in altering behavior? http://karianna.clubmom.com/karianna_spe... A family doctor in Lancaster who has treated thousands of Amish over a quarter-century said he has never seen an Amish person with autism. A pediatrician and geneticist in Virginia told me he was treating six Amish children with autism, none vaccinated. Four of the six had high levels of mercury that he believes came from coal-fired power plants, which emit mercury as a byproduct. He suspects that caused their autism. http://aboutautism.blogspot.com/2005/06/...

I have a daughter who's 8, and thank goodness she isn't autistic. She is truthfully a few of the organization of kids that acquired her vaccines earlier than they discovered they'd such top quantities of mercury. I was once looking 20/20 a even as again, and so they had been announcing that the percent that autism has risen in contemporary years is the identical percent that "intellectual retardation" has dropped within the identical period of time. Basically announcing that they're now simply calling intellectual retardation some thing distinctive and that's why it kind of feels as though the premiums of autism has skyrocketed. I undoubtedly agree that autism has been prompted by way of mercury in vaccines, however I additionally consider it's not really as top of a chance as they are saying. Also, an extra factor, China had on no account even visible a case of Autism till they purchased vaccines from then United States. I learn that during Rolling Stone journal a pair years in the past once they did a large article on Autism. I wish this information is helping. I recognise you desired to listen to from father and mother of kids with autism, however those are only a few matters I heard and skim that could aid.
