It has been investigated, albeit rather late. It was the subject of a police cover-up. So no surprise there, then.

You aren't much different than many other 16 year old girls! You have to look for the positive in all things, and if you can't find positive in some, leave them be. If you can't talk to your mom, talk to a school counselor. They are there for you. Grab the acting with all the gusto you can, and even look for more activities or even a job or sports that you can "get lost" in. Don't let the situation in the family dictate your happiness, or future happiness. I know this usually doesn't go over well, but regular Church attendance and joining youth groups is always helpful. You are really at an age where you CAN take control of your life. Don't let anyone mess with it! Some parts won't be easy or fun, but most will be!

Considering all the problems you have both your mom and dad should understand you wanting to see a therapist. That might be the one thing they can agree on. You didn't ask for divorce, alcoholism or any of the other stuff that is hard on kids. Let both your parents know that you feel you need someone professional to talk to. Maybe they will at least take you to a doctor who can tell you where to get that help.

It is time you speak up child!!!!! What are you waiting for have a talk with your mother it is long over-due, you need to do something about it now, before things get worse, tell your mother everything you said here or better yet write her a letter, mail it to her work or just leave it in a place where she'll get it without her husband knowing about it because it is between you and your mom. You are too young to have so much baggage. Speak up, no one else will for you. Take charge of your life!

I think you should go for darker colors like brown as you said. The color wont make your hair exactly dark brown but you can surely get a shade to cover your bright orange and yellow roots. All the best!
