Need Anime to Watch? Topic: Case super m series 3
June 17, 2019 / By Caryl
Question: I've watched/watching dragonball, dbz, dbgt, yu yu hakusho, naruto, bleach, fma, inuyasha, tsubasa chronicles, blood+, death note, hunter x hunter, cowboy bebop, in that order. Now, honestly everything after Inuyasha I watched to find something that could be as good as Inuyasha... don't get me wrong all those animes were awesome (especially death note fav now), but now I'm looking for an anime like inuyasha again... I'm planning to watch rurouni kenshin but does anyone have any suggestions? Basically: 1. Anime similar to inuyasha 2. Anime that I might find good depending on what I've seen. ( I like it where the main character has some kind of super power and the anime has to have action) 3. Is Rurouni Kenshin worth watching? - I heard it doesn't finish the story...

Some of my favorites: Mushishi - http://www.veoh.com/series/mushishi1?sea... Mushishi is an absolute masterpeice. It's a fantasy/drama unlike any you'll ever find, and it's my favorite anime. Each episode tells a different story. I thought I would be bothered by this, but I wasn't. This adaptation is very faithful to the source material. Mushishi evokes many different emotions while viewing it. Some episodes may have a really nice ending, while others can be really sad. The beautiful background music amplifies these effects. The music is very serene. Listening to the OST, something I do everyday, is the best way to relieve stress. It really works wonders for the anime, especially when considering the quality of animation maintained throughout all 26 episodes. I have yet to see an anime series animated as beautifully as Mushishi is. Everything was so well done, you can tell they spent a lot of time translating this from the manga. The Mushi are reminiscent of the creatures you would find in a Hayao Miyazaki film, the Kodoma of Princess Mononoke perhaps. They have a certain magical aura, a mystifying presence, that makes you want to see more and more of them. This is an anime which should be seen by anyone who enjoys anime. Mushishi is a unique anime. It doesn't have any action or romance or superpowers. I guess you can put it on your anime to watch list. Juuni Kokki (The Twelve Kingdoms) - http://www.piggymoo.com/forum/The-Twelve... Review of first 30 episodes. Although it ended early (the manga was never finished), this is definitely worth watching. If you sit through the first couple of episodes you will be surprised. What seems like a typical story at first turns out to be far from typical. I thought it was going to be another one of those magical girl animes where the main character, in this case Yoko, is an annoying high school girl that can't do anything on her own. Weak and useless, the kind of character you can't stand, at least I couldn't. I was about to stop watching, but . . . Boy was I glad I didn't. I don't want to give away too much, but this series has some of the best character development I've ever seen in anime. Simply put, by the end of the first arc, Yoko was a completely different person. Juuni Kokki has such an amazing story, once you really get into it, it's very hard to stop watching. Each episode seems to end at such a weird place, it forces you to jump right to the next episode. The way they decided to do this, it would seem unnatural. You normally wouldn't end an episode while in the middle of explaining something. However, in The Twelve Kingdoms, this very unique idea actually works in favor of the anime. I feel that it deserves a five star rating, despite the fact that it was left unfinished. After all, Juuni Kokki has already taken its place as one of the best animes I've ever seen. Princess Mononoke - http://www.veoh.com/videos/v999347bSyPSB... Other Animes you should check out: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann - http://www.veoh.com/series/gleekyis?sear... The most talked about series this year. I don't usually like mecha anime, but this is a rare exception. I can't really explain it too well. It's a must see Samurai Champloo - http://www.veoh.com/series/animesamuraic... Samurais and hip-hop music come together in this anime from the creator of Cowboy Bebop Code Geass: Lelouche of the Rebellion - http://www.crunchyroll.com/showseries?id... Similar to Death Note; guy gets a strange power, he uses it for revenge and to make a new world for him to live in. Rurouni Kenshin - http://www.veoh.com/series/rkdubeng?sear... Watch the series before you watch any of the OVAs. It's a classic samurai anime, with comedy and romance. English Dub. It is definitely worth watching, especially the OVAs. Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, is one of the best animes of all time, and a prequel to the series. If anything, you should watch the Kenshin just so that you can see Trust and Betrayal afterwards. It makes it so much more satisfying. Samurai X: Reflection serves as an ending to the series except that it is not the same as in the manga. I didn't really enjoy it so much.

The question is answered differently depending on if you are asking when I watched anime for the first time in my life, when I started watching regularly, or when I started watching as an adult. As a kid, I would have to guess the first one that I ever saw would be Speed Racer. Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon would be close, when Cartoon Network first showed them; but, I don't think they came out in time. Of course, Toonami introduced many great ones as a kid, but second grade I, like everyone else, became fanatical about Pokemon. Digimon followed soon after. However, the first anime that was more mature that I ever watched was when [adult swim] was first launched. That was my introduction to what anime really was. I'm almost positive that the first anime I watched that wasn't for or edited for kids was Cowboy Bebop, and it's kind of funny that the first episode I saw was the last episode (Real Folk Blues Part 2). I remember being shocked, that this was animated yet wasn't directed towards kids, and a lot of stuff was done that I wouldn't think would be drawn out. So, the first one I watched would be Speed Racer. The first one I seriously watched was Pokemon, since I saw DBZ before but didn't become fanatical about it until later. And, the first serious 'adult' anime that I watched was Cowboy Bebop.
