Any good free diary/journal software?

Any good free diary/journal software? Topic: Paper writing software
July 19, 2019 / By Chantale
Question: I need a good free diary/ journal software. Don't want my personal thoughts to be all over Internet and don't feel like writing them down on a piece of paper. Most of the diary software usually aren't fun because they always ask to buy something for better options, which irritates me! So if you know any good diary software, or are currently using one, please let me know. Thank you, Thank you:)

I write in a journal and I'm an adult, I just think something there are things I'm either mad about or stressed about that I don't need to express to other people so I just write it down and get over it. I also journal about really good days too, and it's actually really interesting to look back to old journals from years ago and see how far I've come.

Cinta Notes, KeyNote, Red Notebook, iDaily Diary, Notebox Disorganizer IIe... Diary/journal software usually comes under the heading of Tabbed Outliner software. I find iDaily Diary (even the free edition) is nice because it automatically inserts the date on each entry. Links below :-) KeyNote http://code.google.com/p/keynote-nf/ or http://sourceforge.net/projects/keynote-newfeat/ CintaNotes http://www.cintanotes.com/ Red Notebook http://rednotebook.sourceforge.net/ iDaily Diary http://www.splinterware.com/products/idailydiary.htm Notebox Disorganizer IIe https://sites.google.com/site/squirreltechnologist/home/software

How about Efficient Diary ? It is freeware but very powerful. It is easy-to-use and easy to manage and search. You can insert pictures and emotion icons to your diary entry and you can manage them by groups or date. You can have a try at : http://www.efficientsoftware.net/diary/

why don't you do one online? There are quite a few to choose from if you just google it and then you can access it from anywhere without the worry it might be stubled upon by family, etc. Oh yeah, and it's free.

I've heard good things about yWriter, which was written by a novelist (Simon Haynes): http://www.spacejock.com/yWriter5.html I've never used it myself. But any wordprocessor will do the job. I use OpenOffice (free download from www.openoffice.org). It can read and write MS Office documents, but can't run their macros. Therefore it's not vulnerable to viruses - or isn't vulnerable to the same viruses as MS Office, anyway. It doesn't have tools specifically for writing a novel, like tools for keeping track of your timeline and characters... but if you need that sort of hand-holding, maybe you're not ready to write a novel yet. Try starting with something shorter. Incidentally, the most important single thing you can do to stop viruses getting into your computer is run Linux. If that's not viable (and I wouldn't recommend it for most people), ditch Internet Explorer and use Firefox for surfing the web instead.
