Question: After you click this site click on MAIN SITE: http://parentswish.com This clip brought me to tears. My mother is 89 and being a caregiver gets difficult sometimes. it is hard to know what to do. Sometimes it is very hard to understand. And sometimes we loose or patients even thought we feel so bad about just a second later. I have been there so many times. I plan to re-visit this clip EACH and EVERY day just to remind me how much my Mom and Dad did love me. Oh, I always knew I owed them my life and all the days they spent loving and teaching me. It's just that this clip kind of brought it home. This has changed my life! nfd♥ Lover of my Lord Jesus Christ DO YOU THINK I SOULD PUT THIS ON OTHER AREAS OF YAHOO!ANSWER???????? Here are the words: You Raise Me Up Lyrics » Josh Groban When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary; When troubles come and my heart burdened be; Then, I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. Rest of song: You Raise Me Up Lyrics » Josh Groban When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary; When troubles come and my heart burdened be; Then, I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. There is no life - no life without its hunger; Each restless heart beats so imperfectly; But when you come and I am filled with wonder, Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

My heart goes out to you kid. It's no fun living in a situation where you feel no one loves you. It's even worse when the people you live with are constantly saying mean and hurtful things to you. I really have nothing to say about your parents. They obviously aren't going to take your feelings into consideration because they seem to lack that part of communication themselves. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but just tough it out... 3 more years. Finish school, then as soon as you turn 18 get the heck out of there. Maybe you could stay with your parents or even get an apartment with a friend. We can't always change our circumstances, but we can at least *try* (and I say that very loosely) to be happy. Read, throw yourself into your homework, get those good grades, so you won't be stuck there forever. Good luck kiddo :-)

i think of that's a splash complicated by way of fact first, your mum and dad did undertake him so in a feeling that's their son now. on the different hand if I had observed my daughters son, i might tutor him that i grew to become into grandma from the initiating. i might have by no skill of replaced the call. You have been dealing with a lot once you had him it sounds like and you asked your mum and dad to undertake him not strangers. you're nonetheless there to work out him nonetheless, it fairly is sweet that way whilst he does learn the reality, he will understand which you have been there. There are some mum and dad that undertake out their youngsters and by no skill look back. be glad about now which you are going to see that him and understand how he's doing climate that merely ask your self the place he's and if he has an outstanding lifestyles. Sorry I wasn't a lot help. good luck

I'm going to be honest, I didn't read all of that... I like my mom better than my dad, so I guess it's normal.

Zion Originally Answered: Don't GrandParents often make better parents than parents make?
I have 3 grandchildren and I thought the same as you and suggested several things that my daughter could do better or different in raising her kids. Then I kept them for a few days and realized (once again) that it is so much easier to give advise than to follow it. I spend as much time as I can with my grands and enjoy their company, but it is exhausting work and better left to the younger generation.

There's no question that grandparents often make better parents than parents. We learn over the years, from our own mistakes. I think grandchildren are the vehicle God (or Whoever) uses to allow us that second chance, to give us a way to heal from some of the regrets we have about the way we raised our own kids. You know how they say, "You can never go back?" Well, helping to care for the grandchildren is the next best thing.
