I have a Toshiba very similar to this and I really like it. I mostly use it for word processing, surfing the web, and storing photos, but it runs pretty fast and I have never had any problems with it. I'm not a huge fan of Vista but it's not as terrible as people tend to say (at least not for what I do). You don't mention what you plan on doing with this laptop, but I reccommend it as a solid, general-purpose machine. Side note: My roommate bought a comparable HP and it already had to go in for service (fan died). Everyone I know who has a Dell hates it or has had problems with it.

Yes, Toshiba is a good manufacturer of laptops. I've owned 2 and have been happy with both. Just an additional note; Tiger Direct has the upgrade model for this Toshiba. Although it's $200.00 more, the size of the processor, the amount of RAM, and the size of the hard drive (as well as other features) are well worth the additional cost. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...

Sound good, exept if you want to play games, you need a faster processor. (Check on the back of games for requirments) But if thats not you it sound great! I dont think the price should be more than $900 I got my dell studio 15 for $900 with a bigger hard drive, 4 Gb ram, better wi fi, a 9 cell battery, but only a 2.00 GHz processor. Keep your options open.

Toshiba sucks for one. It needs more memory to run Vista, 2GB isn't enough, you want to have 3-4gb otherwise after a year it will run very slow. Get a Dell, spend about $600 with them and you will be on the right track. You get what you pay for

i have had a few toshibas and all of them sucked. 32 Bit vista runs like crap (and this is running 32 bit vista) so i wouldnt buy it. Dont spend more that 800 dollars on it.

it depends on some factors what would you want the laptop for. if you want it for multimedia stuff like watching videos downloading or browsing then its okay if you want it for gaming then its rubbish. if it costs more than £500 then dont buy it cause you can get better laptops for that money
