Manitoba The minimum age is 16 years old. Under the age of 16, the worker needs a permit from the Employment Standards Office. A parent, legal guardian, employer and the principal of the child's school must also sign the permit application form. Generally, children under 12 years old are only allowed to work for an employer in exceptional circumstances. Employees under 16 years old must have a permit from the Employment Standards Branch before they can work. An application form can be found on the web site at www.manitoba.ca/labour/standards/forms.h... People under 18 years old are not allowed to work alone between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. They are also not allowed to work in the following industries: forestry saw or pulp mills confined spaces underground in mines or on the face of open pit quarries asbestos abatement and removal Employees under 16 years old are not allowed to work between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. or work: on a construction site in the industrial or manufacturing processes drilling or servicing rigs on scaffolds or swing stages pruning, repairing, maintaining, or removing of trees During a school week, employees under 16 years old can only work 20 hours or less. During vacations like Christmas and summer, it may be possible to work more. There may also be restrictions on employment permits about when young people can work People under 18 years old cannot work alone between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m . People under 16 years of age can not work at all between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. These rules set out by Manitoba Employment Standards limits what kinds of jobs 12 year old can do. It pretty much rules out any kind of job except for the standard babysitting, newspaper/flyer carrier dog walker, snow shoveller, etc. unfortunately. Even if her parents fill out and sign the form there is no guarantee if would be approved. Nothing saying they can't try though but I think at 12 most employers may not hire them. sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Good Luck

Yes, I would. The opportunity to something new and exciting would attract me. I would look out the window and see tundra rather than trees, a busy highway or a wheat field. I could go for a walk along the Hudson Bay and see the beautiful beluga whales playing together. I would look out my window and hope NOT to see a polar bear at that point. ;) Much rather go out of town in a tundra buggy (an experience in itself!) and the see polar bears in their natural environment-before they go extinct and you can only see them on a twonie and in a zoo. I'd live there to look in the sky and see there are STARS up there! And the northern lights....you have to see them up north to really experience them. I would learn to appreciate the little things many other places take for granted-there is no huge shopping centre! Cell phone service is NOT like the more populated south!! Learning to rely on yourself and your neighbours in a smaller town makes you appreciate everything more. Beauty isn't a great shoe sale. It is nature, your environment and expanding your own "human" horizons.

Churchill is a small town, population 923, in northern Manitoba on the shore of Hudson Bay. It's known as the Polar Bear Capital because many of the bears have been sighted there, plus the scenery is beautiful. There is a rail tour from Winnipeg to Churchill that runs several times a week. Personally I wouldn't live there, it's too cold and remote for my taste.

i'm so sorry that, at 12 years old, you're searching for a activity like an person, rather of enjoying merely being a toddler. i do no longer know in the event that they nonetheless have paper routes for babies, that's what I did whilst i substitute into 14 years old. in case you have a severe-high quality community on the part of you, go door to door with a rubbish pail and a shovel, and grant to poop scoop their backyard - small backyard, maybe $5 / $10. In my community they value $20 weekly for the provider. do no longer do any of that on-line stuff, you're way too youthful and would get harm. in case you choose to babysit, maybe you may volunteer at a community daycare, and then whilst the mothers get to renowned you, they'd hire you for babysitting. certainly, I won't hire all people under 14, by using fact in case of emergency, i think of that a severe schooler is extra effective arranged. reliable luck,

So how can someone else answer this question for you??? Sounds like you are wanting someone else to do your homework assignment. Only YOU can write about what impact the move to California had on you. Get a piece of paper. Write down all the good things about your move, and then all the bad. Once you see your list, you will be able to write your essay. Good luck!
