Question: So I want to score at least a 700 on the math section of the SAT, and I have been doing the problems on this one website to prepare, so I was wondering: Are these problems(below) adequate preparation for me in order for me to score at least a 700?: http://www.majortests.com/sat/problem-solving.php http://www.majortests.com/sat/grid-ins.php

Well it depends if you're good at standardized testing, really. Can you work fast under the time limit? Do you know which questions to skip? Stuff like that. The SAT doesn't test knowledge ALL THAT MUCH. So if you did all those problems, practiced like HELL with full test simulating conditions, and you're pretty good at math, then sure. But the most important thing is the practice with test simulating conditions.

Hello. I would suggest that you be more specific with what your objective is. I think if you are specific they could find a suitable position for you. The description of your work experience is good. You mentioned exactly what you did as a volunteer. I would also suggest you visit a government employment center. They could review your resume for free of cost and make some alterations or improvements to it. Good luck in your future endeavors.

First, resumes are not essays; so you write in abbreviated third person--no "I was... I did... etc" And NO sentences. so the first paragraph should just bullet what you did (no, when they cam in the door, we had them write their name of badges etc). skills--NO "I" sentences *detail oriented *Typing 65 wpm *cull working knowledge Microsoft word * etc For education: list more professional: Evergreen Valley College 3095 Yerba Buena Rd, San Jose 2009 - to current YB HS address 2005-2009 Graduated Magna .... There should be a career center at the college you are at, or even in the library services, that can help yu with this--check out the available services.o

Those websites are good, but the college boards official SAT study guide book is better because the 10 sample tests are real exams from just a year or 2 ago. You will also need to get the book Answers and Explanations 2nd edition by Peter Tanguay for those. (green on cover not orange.) It has complete explanations on how to do all the questions and is especially helpful with the math. I did it and got a 2100 :) good luck.

Helloooo! Well heres what I think, You have to understand that Christians and other religious groups believe that helping others by getting them closer to God is the best way they can be helped. Without God we are lost.(Thats pretty much the modo) So this is why you are not the adequate person to do this because your relationship with god is not strong enough like they would like their guides to have. So they may think that you wouldn't help bring these teens closer to God. Thats why you got that letter. I hope you can understand this and not hold anything against them for this is part of their help plan or beliefs. And we must respect it weather we like it or not. However Screw them! lol Go find another non religious organization where you can Volunteer your service and continue what you wanted to do. Don't let that stop you from helping others as a matter fact don't let anything stop you EVER! And really don't hate on them for rejecting your service. I mean just because they did it doesn't make all Christians ignorant Or ALL of them the same remember we are different individually . It never does you any good to look down on people, just because you disagree with them. The best way to help people is to keep a positive view and mind on everything! No matter what non sense you run into right? Specially if your in the business of helping others You are bound to run into worst scenarios. What ever happens in your life I wish you the best! :)

I've volunteered for Christian organizations before and I'm not Christian. There could be a couple of reasons why you were turned down. First, if the teen is approaching a Christian org, they may want the person the teen is speaking to to actually know about Christianity and be willing to speak about it, etc. They may think you can't or won't do that. Another thing is that volunteer organizations don't "just take anyone" who's willing to help. When it's something specific like counselling in this position, they do require someone who has appropriate skills and experience in order to do that job. Just because it doesn't pay, doesn't mean they'll take anyone off the streets. A counselling position like this needs to have someone who has real counselling experience. The fact is, if you don't have that experience, you just can't do the job the same way someone else could. I've got an interview for a volunteer position later this week. If they feel I don't meet their criteria, I won't get the position. Simple as that and I totally understand their position.
