How to get a scholarship for university?

How to get a scholarship for university? Topic: How to write a cheque in usa
June 27, 2019 / By Leigh
Question: I graduate high school in 4 years and there's this university I really want to go to. The problem is that the tuition is really expensive (about $64,000 if you count room and board). My mom told me that she will only pay for the first semester and all the additional costs I have to pay for myself, and honestly I don't think my parents can spare that much money. I NEED A SCHOLARSHIP! 1. The university says that their scholarships are based on financial status (applies to international students too). Are their any exceptions? For example, I once heard that if your parent if a university professor you can't get a scholarship? Is this true? 2. Are there any other scholarships I can apply to? (I'm an international student and interested in creative writing) Even small amounts would help. 3. Any advice?

For USA schools, as an international student- There are very few scholarships available. You do not get a scholarships if your parent works at the university. The university may offer a discount to children of employees, that would be up to each individual school. You can go on any US school's web site to see what scholarships they offer, what they pay out and what the requirements are to apply. You can check out the Fulbright scholarship on line. Very few US universities offer need based financial aid to international students.

I will let you determine that by giving you this link to info on Hofstra Univ. from the well-respected College Board web pages: http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/se... The How Do I Stack Up? link should give you some comparative data. Plus the Admission information link will give you some info. And, the Am I On Track? link will help give you an idea. Two other good sources of info on Hofstra Univ. admissions are: The Princeton Review: http://www.princetonreview.com/ US News and World Report - Best Colleges: http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreview... Both publish print evaluations of colleges/universities in the USA, if you wish to learn more. Your local public library should hold both publications. Ask a reference librarian to help you find them, if you wish. Librarians--Ask Us, We Answer! i does not call them unlawful immigrants. they're only human beings easy as undocumented workers. and that they'd desire to not because of the fact as undocumented workers, they don't pay taxes to the US government.

Perhaps wait and do your undergraduate locally. Creative writing is something you can learn anywhere (and learn by doing). This school might have a master's program which would be smaller, more intensive, and shorter, being cheaper in the long run. Spending over $250K for a creative writing degree is a horrible return on investment- most writers aren't successful.

Don't listen to that!! You do have a chance of getting in. Your grades seem to be above average since the average needed to get into Fordham is a 89. 17. As for the SAT increase it by 100 points which shouldn't be too hard to do. The SAT score required for Fordham is around 1970. Your extracurricular activities are really good. They are education based and show that you have an interest in helping others which is really good. You also have a background in the arts and sports. As for the scholarship you might be able to get something, just don't expect much.
