The problem is that JWs are so emotionally invested in JWism and JW life that they cannot stop for a second to consider any reality that might burst their balloon of faith. In such a position people have to embrace nonsensical thinking, avoid direct awkward questions and above all not believe anything anyone says that might suggest errors in JW leaders, JW material, JW history and above all the JW bible. Most will say they are happy to use any version of the bible and really believe it but then won't accept any the other bibles that say that they can't agree with such as John 1:1 .. the word was God! This is called delusion. .. but for me the most obvious and serious sign of JWs being manipulated is in the material that most JWs quote to support their claim that the NWT is an accurate translation. I have seen literal dozens of quotes from JWs from many different people in a vain attempt to claim external support for their perverted translation .. and every single one of those quotes is either deceitful or deliberately misleading. I have pointed this out to dozens of JWs and not one of them has even argued I'm wrong (when we get to the detail on each quote and it's author) and yet THEY KEEP QUOTING them. This from people who in one breath passionately claim to have the truth and then deliberately deceive in the next. It's spectacular delusion!

Sorrel Originally Answered: Are Jehovah's Witness doctrines bible based or are they just interpretations of bible verses?
Hi CF, You seem to have a few critics that totally disagree with your answer. Seems these critics know more about scripture then you do! And to be fair I too down thumbed you for your response. Since I left your cult I actually did the research and guess what... I was lied to by ALL of my Elders. They really didn't know what they were talking about when it came to 1914,1915,1925,1975, or any other understanding of "End Time Prophesy". They duped me for awhile but the truth finally came out and no amount of "New Light" could cover over the darkness of their lies and deceptions. That's the beauty of the truth...the real truth...it exposes the lies of liars, and the JW'S are the best of the best when it comes to lying, but hey they made one very stupid mistake...they documented everything they have ever written, and that will be their ultimate demise. The one thing they seem to have overlooked is the fact that knowledge has increased and it's really hard to hide history, especially when it was so well recorded by their printing presses!!! So now to answer the askers question with a real honest answer from a person that lived the lies of the Watch Tower. No they are NOT interpretations...they are deliberate alterations to scripture to create a whole new twisted message that supports their dogma. Why else would they write the NWT!? I always hear them say by mouth and in writing that they can show you in ANY Bible. Well if any Bible would do, then why write another one? You really have to wonder why if any other Bible would and can work...their words not mine! The problem is their NWT is actually different from ALL other Bibles. Now why would that be? It's simply because they needed to produce their own in order to give greater support to their unbiblical beliefs. Can you think of any other logical reason except to both deceive and give more weight to what they believe! Even if ALL Bibles used the name Jehovah, (which they don't) it still doesn't give them the authority to alter, delete, or add any other words to scripture to change the meaning of what was written. especially when it goes directly aginst scripture itself. And they are so conditioned by the WTBTS they seem to over look this important biblical fact. So, do they follow the Bible as they always claim? Apparently it doesn't seem to matter to these "true Christians" in this case...there're many more cases, so if they don't respect God in this case and change scripture, can they really be true followers of God? You'll have to be the judge of that. As an EX-JW myself...I can't be a part of a group that deliberatly alters the words of my God to suit their own end....that's not what real Christians do to please their creator...nuff said! Hey Gary, I don't think this is a stupid question at all. In fact it is a good reasonable question that needs to be asked and answered. I understand your desire to ridicule, deflect and then redirect. These are the hallmarks of the average confrontational JW which yoiu so aptly demonstrate, but for Pete's sake dude at least try to act like a Christian or you won't fool anybody.....!

They ( The JWs) removed "JEHOVAH IS RESENTFUL" (Nahum 1: 2) and "PAUL TEACHED APOSTASIES" (Acts 21:21). STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE? Anyone who questions GB's errors will be disfellowshipped as apostate and apostate is of the Devil. And anyone who resents this is of the Devil. SEE APOCALYPSE 22: 18,19

Latoya Originally Answered: THE JEHOVAH'S WITNESS "BIBLE" , Did you know "New World Translation" DELETES WHOLE VERSES?
Clearly, the vast majority of these supposed "deletions" are not even remotely difficult to reconcile with bible truth as it is understood by Jehovah's Witnesses. It is simply that the New World Translation committee used the most authoritative ancient manuscripts, which did not have the phrases in question. Quality translations do not include seemingly spurious text. Incidentally, it is disingenuous and misleading to pretend that NWT is unique or unacceptable in its rendering of any of these verses. A dozen bibles could be shown to agree with any of those choices by NWT. Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses do not rely on NWT or believe that it is particular inspired in a way that others are not; Witnesses respect and use dozens of other translations.
