What good has it done to our public school systems to accept "gay marriage" as being normal? Topic: Display case shelf

Question: In high schools there are school-wide assemblies to celebrate "gay" marriage, featuring speakers, including principals teachers at the schools themselves, who have "married" their "gay" partners and are starting families either through adoption, in the case of males, or artificial insemination, in the case of lesbians. In middle schools, teachers discuss gay sex with their students as explicitly as they desire. In elementary schools, kindergartners are given picture-books telling them that "gay spouses" are just another kind of family, like their own parents. When a parent of a kindergartner strongly insisted on being notified when teachers were discussing homosexuality or transgenderism with his son, the school had him arrested and put in jail overnight. Federal judges have ruled that because "gay" marriage is legal in Massachusetts, the schools actually have a duty to normalize homosexual relationships to children and that schools have no obligation to notify parents or to let them opt out their children. Literature in favor of "gay" marriage, how it is now a normal part of society, is routinely handed out to students. School libraries across the state, from elementary school through high school, now have shelves of books to normalize homosexual behavior and its lifestyle in the minds of children, some of them quite explicit and even pornographic. Parents' complaints are ignored or met with hostility. It has become commonplace in Massachusetts schools for principals and teachers to display prominently photographs of their "gay spouses" and bring those "spouses" to school functions. Gay Days are considered necessary in schools to fight "intolerance" and "homophobia." High schools and even middle schools across the state now hold GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender) Appreciation Days. They celebrate homosexual "marriage" and move forward to other behaviors such transvestism and transsexuality. The Massachusetts legislature now gives tax monies to homosexual activist groups. In particular, the Massachusetts Commission on Gay Lesbian Bisexual, and Transgender Youth, made up of the most radical and militant homosexual groups, in 2008 received close to a million dollars to target children in the public schools. Homosexual "marriage" now hangs over our state like a hammer with the force of law. And it has only just begun. It is pretty clear that the homosexual movement's obsession with marriage is not because large numbers of "gays" actually want to marry each other. Rather, this is about putting the legal stamp of approval on homosexuality and imposing it with force throughout the various social and political institutions of a society that would never accept it otherwise. Your readers have been forewarned from our Massachusetts experience.

I don't think there is anything "abnormal" about gay marriage. Love is love and same sex marriage partners are "normal" families. We should celebrate each person as a wonderful, unique individual. I think these gay celebration days are meant to counter all the damage fundies have done to the gay community over the years. Your propaganda is pathetic. No teacher is allowed to explicitly discuss sex with students. A a parent would not be arrested for asking to be notified when a specific subject was being discussed in their child's classroom. What law does that break? Heaven forbid a person be enlightened. Yeah tolerance, compassion and empathy are what is corrupting America...you're such a schmuck!

Peronelle Originally Answered: Who would agree that martial arts should be taught in the public school systems?
They didn't teach me martial arts in school in my country (not US)but they taught me how to shoot a gun, hehehe (military training, don't take me wrong). Not like I have a gun or allowed to carry it. Yeah, teaching self defence is a good idea. Although I'm curios to know how other contries do it. I don't agree with fears that it will bring more violance, BTW. Violence starts with the thought that one can get away with it. But one someone learns that no matter how strong you might think you are, there is always someone somewhere who is stronger - this cools off some of the hot heads.

Let me just say this, I'm a Christian. I am tolerant and accepting of all people. Loving people really doesn't have anything to do with accepting someone's decisions. Don't parents love you even though they have to punish you sometime? Yes. That's sort of how I feel as a Christian. I love people who are homosexual. I just don't agree with their sexual orientation. In the same way, I think homosexuals should love Christians even though their morals obviously differ. From a Christian stand point, I think it's good to teach love and acceptance of people. I think it's odd that you have to have an assembly about this. Seems a little over the top! Do you think that Christian pastors should have to marry homosexuals even though their beliefs say not to? I keep hearing that this is going to happen soon.

.....well quite honestly i think straight people have brought it on themselves..see if they would just give gays their rights PERIOD...messes like this wouldn't happen. I happen to be one of those gays who agree on the stance that marriage is for religious people and in the context of the bible it does specify man and woman.. THE PROBLEM i have is that gay people don't have the same rights as straight people, particularly with health care, life insurance, car insurance amongst many other things. The other problem I have is that people get so touchy with teaching kids about gay people. There isn't anything wrong with teaching tolerance, and that is exactly what they are trying to do..IT WILL NOT MAKE YOUR KID GAY.. I know i wasn't shown some pop up book about sally liking sally when i was a child and then thinking it was a brilliant idea... no, in fact I can tell you that being gay is just as much of a bruise as somebody being left handed and has been nothing but an unrelenting sphere of torment since I was put around the general public (IE; kindergarten) Fact is, Gay people are just that, people and even though we don't fit into that supreme religious book called the bible..neither do people with dark skin, interracial marriage, pork and mixed garments. So, in conclusion..fork over our rights without a fight and the rhetoric will tone down..in fact I think America is quite fortunate the gays aren't as violent and brutal as a group such as the black panthers ..or they don't have a leader as confrontational as malcom x. there was a quote towards the end of american history x..by the black guy who spends his time folding laundry with edward norton in prison.. when ed norton gets out of prison he laments that he thinks this guy has something to do with it... to which he says.."nah, you crazy..i don't know what you talking about" then ed norton goes.."yeh, I must be crazy" and then the black guy goes "just do me a favor, take it easy on the brotha's, aight?" so in honor of that awesome and powerful line... i say just do me a favor, take it easy on the gays, aight?

First of all, my 8th grade son is in a public school in "liberal" southern California and he has had no teachings on homosexuality in school. Much of what you say is typical fear-based "the sky is falling!" nonsense. Secondly, how does this effect you? Thirdly, why are Christians so afraid of gay marriage? Why do they say it will threaten marriage and families? It is almost as if you all believe that if society accepted it everyone would be homosexual? The majority of humans are heterosexual and, very likely, always will be. Do you seriously believe that once society says okay to gay marriage men will cease to be attracted to women and children will cease to be born? Please explain. And last, for now, what is it that Christians have against teaching their own children the values they believe in? Why do you want the government to do it for you? My atheist son is taught stuff in school that I do not agree with, and I am ready, willing, and able to discuss that stuff with him and explain what it is I believe, what it is I hope he will believe, why I think the teaching is wrong, etc. What ever happened to parental responsibility among Christians?

Just a word to the wise. Conan is a 12th Degree Samurai Ninja ex-Delta Force SAS with a Double-0 designation. Hope and pray he doesn't take you up on it.
