Topic: Cheating college essays
June 20, 2019 / By Derby Question:
I had not done too well in a particular class in college so i am retaking the course. The syllabus is the exact same one as it was the last semester i had taken the class. Is it considered cheating if i use my last semester's final draft of an essay as the rough draft for this semester's essay? It's the same topic and everything.
I believe that I paid for this class twice, I have the right to to use my own work that i do receive some benefit because i had taken this class twice. If i have the resources I may as well use them. It's not like I'm expecting to turn in the last semester's final draft as this semester's final draft. I want to use that paper as the rough draft and build up on that same paper again to make it even better so that way I'll have a new final draft that will hopefully be better.

I see that all the other responders to your question have done this all before. I am going to suggest another way of handling this problem. If the instructor is the same, he/she might suggest that you cannot do that. It depends on whether you have an honest the instructor. It also is relevant because you are doing the same thing you did before, trying to avoid doing the work.
The ethical way which is the right way is to ask the instructor if you could correct the work that you did last semester because you wanted to make it better. You might even say that it was not so good the first time and it was the reason you failed the course. He may ask to see it, and you may have to show it to him. It even suggests that you don't feel capable enough of succeeding in college. Your concept of yourself is showing and it is not very good. You are repeating a set of bad behaviors by submitting the paper twice. Just because other students are encouraging you in their experiences of break the laws of higher education does not make it right. Get away from this pattern of bad behavior, do another paper. Think about this.
However, before you do anything. Just also to repeat, it is your decision and it is cheating by university standards unless you discuss it with your professor. Good luck.
My sort is a mix of issues whilst first beginning an essay, in spite of the undeniable fact that I in no way do outlines they do no longer artwork for me. the main mandatory element for me is to get it down on paper...I freewrite lots or I pose questions with reference to the subject be counted being addressed and that i purely arise with all styles of questions and notice if i can respond to them. permit's see case in point, i'm examining Inheritance of Loss by using Kiran Desai (Indian author), My professor posed this question: how are classification divisions made complicated in the 1st financial disaster? nicely, the 1st element I did, replaced into think of, and then write down any questions that got here to innovations and if i ought to respond to them and my innovations wer supported by using the e book, then that's what i might pass with, on the different hand I brainstorm, so it varies with me, in spite of the undeniable fact that this is a coarse DRAFT, in certainty I often have a minimum of four tough DRAFTS in the previous I make it an exceedingly final draft, might desire to be certain for punctuation, subj-verb settlement, parallelism, fluidity, defective comaparisons, hasty generaliations etc... those issues are crucial whilst writing, good success and lots success ok!
no its not cheating its your work. hell you could turn in the exact same paper and it wouldnt be considered cheating
