I find this entertaining so I will answer 1) the chemical composition of a material as well as its potential for covalent and non-covalent interactions with the environment 2) melting and boiling 3) The classic statement of Hess's law is that the change in enthalpy for a reaction that is carried out in a series of steps is equal to the sum of the enthalpy changes for the individual steps. Or basically deltaHrxn = Summation deltaHprod - deltaHreactants 4) the kilocalorie 5) i'll assume you know what calorimetry is so adiabatic is probably the confusing bit. It just means that there isn't a net heat transfer between the system and the surroundings. 6) this is sometimes thought of as heat of reaction in such a case where you have a setup with a defined number of moles where molar enthalpy is used to calculate the heat of a reaction by multiplying deltaH by n (# moles).

Thanks for sharing it with me. I found it to be a curious one. One that the detective in me would want to investigate. That's because it sounds so much like a message written by the deceased ahead of time to the person whom he suspected was going to possibly murder him someday. I would be curious to know whether this person was in fact murdered or was believed to have died a natural death. If I were a detective, and he was believed to have died a natural death, I'd certainly be interested in questioning the relatives about this curious epitaph. Let me share with you within parentheses what I thought as I read the words to this epitaph: REMEMBER ME (I'm the guy you killed.) AS YOU PASSED BY (As you pass by my grave smugly thinking you've gotten away with murder.) AS YOU ARE NOW (Alive and well.) SO ONCE WAS I (Alive and well too.) AS I AM NOW (Dead and burried) SOON YOU SHALL BE (Soon, you'll be dead and burried too.) PREPARE FOR DEATH (Get ready for it. Ha Ha.) AND FOLLOW ME (To a untimely death, after they catch you.) I know this sounds grim, but hey....we're in a cemetery here. And, I watch a lot of crime documentaries. In my mind, this epitaph sends up a lot of red flags.
