Hi I clean small offices and have a Squidoo lens on how to start a cleaning business with tips and resources-the link is in my profile. But I will tell you a few things here to get you started. Usually a license or permit is not required but it's good to contact your local county or city clerk's office and ask. It will probably be a DBA-doing business as-license for a fictitious name. They usually cost about $50 or less for a year, sometimes two. If it's not required, you can wait awhile. It is used to open a business bank account and so your local government can try and tax you. It's really important that you get liability insurance or a bond. It will protect you against claims of damage or theft-usually false. And it is a great sales tool that makes your potential customer feel safe. The price varies a lot, so call a bunch of insurance agencies and get quotes. It doesn't need to be a big amount to start-you can increase later. Also, make friends with the agency you select, they sometimes can give you good leads to new homeowners or businesses. Write down what makes your cleaning company superior to others. This will part of your sales pitch and flier. Many times people/businesses are unhappy with their cleaners but don't know where to find a new one. Also,a lot of offices and companies this time of year are looking to switch/hire new cleaning companies. More tips and resources on my Squidoo Lens. The link is in my profile. You can do this!

you go business to business and ask for the controller. You tell them where you came from and what you want to do and he'll say give me a bid. When you get your first account then you put up cards in the employee lounge or kitchen offering a 30% discount for employees to use your services at home. Then you meet their spouses at home and you ask if you can get their businesses as well. With each new commercial or industrial account you get you reduce the discount by 5% or you'll kill yourself and never get to spend all the money you'll be making. But you might want to go to the library and get a few books on negotiating, sales techniques and strategies, business relationships, and customer service. Master all the techniques, write down every secret and have a route book you have all pertinent information about each account in. such as commercial info to keep: contact name, phone, fax, email and address, accounts payable clerk, Alarm codes, what duties and tasks are you contracted to perform, a check list (so you never forget to do something) and what chemicals, soaps, solvents, degreasers, brooms, mops, buckets, squeegees and vacuum to take in with you. For homes: Names, address, phone, fax email, pets names, kids names, birthdays, anniversaries, what you do there, customers pet peeves. alarm code, check list and their allergies.

Although I cant refer any one I advocate you check out small locations in the beginning and paintings your method up. Try small automobile dealerships, medical professionals workplaces, vet workplaces(constantly want any one to scrub), truly property workplaces, and any small trade workplace. I consider that you'll most effective achieve a trade like this. With approximately four-five jobs in line with night time and most effective two-three further staff you will have to be good in your method. GOOD LUCK!!! (preserve us published)

First of check with an attorney and see what you have to do legally. Are you going to be a S-Corporation, Sole Owners or Incorporated? Check into liability insurance and all licenses you may need. The attorney can help you with these. Set up items would be anything you would need to houseclean and what you are planning to offer. Mops, pails, cleaning supplies(scented or unscented), 2 - 3 step ladder, rubber gloves and such. Or are you planning to use the clients supplies? You could give a flat rate per house per number of rooms to be cleaned or so much per square foot. Call a couple of cleaning companies pretending to be customers, ask prices!
